This character, Paerune (pronounced Pay-rune) is the Lightning mage character is my book. He proud but fiercely loyal. He is a member of the Royal Archery Guild in his region, a fact he likes to let everyone he meets know. This is the first picture of a series I plan to do with the circle badges in the background. I made them on Illustrator CS4; they are designed to represent the nine regions in my book, which are centered around the nine elements. From the highlighted one and down clockwise they are: Lightning, Light, Fire, Earth (which is behind Paerune in this pic), Wind, Mind, Dark, Ice, and Water.
